Five Random Cubs Cards

 I've got 19,106 Cubs cards from 284 different brands listed on a spreadsheet. A random number generator picked five cards, one each from the past several decades.

1900s - 1970s: 1912 T207 King Cole After winning 38 games in the previous two seasons, Cole tanked in 1912.  He was 1-2 and had an ERA of 10.89 before the Cubs shipped him to the Pirates.

1980s: 1983 Topps Traded #117 Steve Trout Trout came to the Cubs from the White Sox in a January, 1983 trade that included six players total. 

1990s: 1991 Team Issued Mark Grace The Cubs gave this set to everyone in attendance on August 14.  Grace was 0-3 with a walk as the Cubs were shut out by the Expos 2-0.

2000s: 2003 Topps Hits Parade #2 Sammy Sosa  Sosa has two cards in this set. This one lists the active career home run leaders.  He was second, behind Barry Bonds.  

2010s: 2014 Heritage Minors #216 Addison Russell  This one sure didn't turn out the way we thought it would.
