It's another Monday version of the Sunday feature. It will be back on Sundays for the rest of the year and beyond (until Christmas and New Years fall on a Sunday)
I've got 20,908 Cubs cards from 308 different brands listed on a spreadsheet. A random number generator picked five cards, one each from the past several decades.
1900s - 1970s: 1964 Topps Coins #42 Ernie Banks What a great way to start the new year, with Mr. Cub! The RNG hit a home run on the first pitch of the season!
1990s: 1993 Panini Stickers #205 Shawon Dunston Ok, not a home run, but a solid single with a sticker with the strongest infield are I've ever seen wearing Cubbie blue.2000s: 2008 Just Minors Darwin Barney Dual Signature You may consider this a swing and a miss, but to me its a pretty big hit!
2010s: 2011 Pro Debut #304 Aaron Kurcz Kurcz never made to the majors, but he helped the Cubs win the 2016 World Series. How, you ask? He was part of the trade the Cubs made with the Red Sox that brought Theo Epstein to Chicago.
