Five Random Cubs Cards

I've got 15,071 Cubs cards from 122 different brands listed on a spreadsheet. A random number generator picked five cards, one each from the past several decades.

1900s - 1970s: 1967 Topps  #272 Cubs Rookie Billy Connors Dave Dowling  Billy Connors pitched in 11 games for the 1966 Cubs and had an ERA of 7.31.  That made him a rookie star?  Dowling tossed a complete game win for the Cubs in his only appearance in 1966 and that made him a star.

1980s: 1987 Team Issued #36 Gary Matthews Usually these sets were pretty accurate with the players, but not this time.  The cards were given out at Wrigley Field on July 26, but Sarge was gone by then.  He had been traded to the Mariners on July 11.  The '87 season was his last in the majors.

1990s: 1999 Fleer Traded #U49 Chad Meyers This is a card from his rookie season.  I didn't realize he played as much as he did that year, 43 games.  He hit just .232 and drove in only four runs. Sadly. that was the best year of his MLB career.

2000s: 2009 Topps Update #145 Micah Hoffpauir  There was lots of optimism surrounding Hoffpauir in 2009.  He hit .342 over 33 games at the end of 2008.  Sadly, that was the best year of his MLB career..... notice a theme here??

2010s: 2011 Topps Attax #41 Carlos Pena  The card mentions that Pena is the only active player to hit a walk-off home run for four different teams.  I scanned through Baseballreference to get details on his Cubs walk off.  There wasn't one.  His four walk-offs were with the A's, Tigers, Red Sox, and Rays.
