Five Random Cubs Cards

I've got 19,446 Cubs cards from 285 different brands listed on a spreadsheet. A random number generator picked five cards, one each from the past several decades.

1900s - 1970s: 1954 Bowman #45 Ralph Kiner  Kiner led the league in homeruns in each of this first seven years in the National League.  And what did that get him?  Traded to the Cubs halfway through the 1953 season.

1980s: 1981 Fleer #291 Dave Kingman  This happy looking guy was not with the 1981 Cubs.  He was traded to the Mets for Steve Henderson.

1990s: 1998 Topps #453 Kevin Tapani Tapani helped get the Cubs to the 1998 wild card with his record of 19-9.  It was the most wins over his 13-year career.

2000s: 2002 Classics #181 Ryne Sandberg This card could have had a really interesting look if they had lined up the pinstripes on the card with pinstripes on his uniform.

2010s: 2011 Topps #86 Carlos Silva Diamond A pretty, shiny card of Carlos Silva is the baseball card version of lipstick on a pig.
