1996 Sportflix UC3 Cubs

Sportflix debuted a premium set in 1995 that they called UC3.  The cards are 3D, so you see 3D...UC3...get it?

The set consists of three subsets.  The current stars of the day were included in the first 95 cards.  These cards have a horizontal layout.  The rookies were give vertical-oriented cards and they made up #96 - 122.  The last 25 cards were called "In Depth" and were given to the biggest stars.

The Cubs of this era were not very good, so they have just three cards, all from the first subset.  They got shut out of the rookies and In Depth.  Chad sent me all three.

The baseballs on the cards seems out of place.  On Grace's card it looks like he's hitting a foul ball back to the screen.  McRae looks like he's out of place to make the catch.  Sammy's about to get beaned by an errant throw.
