I've got 19,708 Cubs cards from 298 different brands listed on a spreadsheet. A random number generator picked five cards, one each from the past several decades.
1900s - 1970s: 1909 T206 Frank Chance Portrait Yellow This is one of three different cards of the Cubs manager in the T206 set. I have a reprint of this one, though I do have an actual T206 card of his batting variation card.
1980s: 1987 Topps #459 Dennis Eckersley The HOFer never played for the Cubs in 1987. He was traded to the A's just before the season began.
1990s: Alan Kaye's Sports Cards 1992 Tobacco #5 Rogers Hornsby The sports card guide put out a couple of different sets within their monthly magazine. This card comes from a tobacco card set. The team designation on the back of the card says Cubs, though many would argue Hornsby should be listed as a Cardinal.
2000s: 2002 Topps Traded #94 Mario Encarnacion Three April games was his only action with the Cubs in 2002, but that was enough for him to land a spot in the traded set. My how times have changed.
