Panini released the 2022 version of Select a few weeks ago. The set has 300 cards divided into three levels of 100 cards each, base, premier, and diamond. Each level has a unique design. A total of ten Cubs were in the set.
Four Cubs were found in the base set. The cards don't look that dark in hand. The shiny chrome part doesn't scan well.
Only two Cubs were in the next group of 100, the premier section. I won't be chasing any of the parallel of Billy Williams for the player collection because of the lack of logos.
Four Cubs are in the final group, Diamond. These are the ones that are the hardest to find. I am still on the hunt for one, Frank Schwindel. That tells you how messed up the card market is, when a card of Frank Schwindel is tough to find. I also goofed when buying the Contreras card and I picked up s parallel version that scans much better.
