Five Random Cubs Cards

I've got 19,388 Cubs cards from 285 different brands listed on a spreadsheet. A random number generator picked five cards, one each from the past several decades.

1900s - 1970s: 1967 Topps #524 Felix Mantilla  Mantilla is pictured wearing a Red Sox uniform, a team he last played for in 1965.  He spent the 1966 season with the Astros but was released after the season.  The Cubs signed him prior to the 1967 spring training.  He didn't make the team and was spent to AAA.  He was released in July, 1967, so we end up with a card of a guy that never played a single inning with the Cubs.

1980s: 1989 Score #624 Mike Harkey  Harkey spend the entire 1989 season in AAA. He had some injuries and started just 12 games for Iowa.

1990s: 1993 Nabisco All Star Autographs Ernie Banks This card was part of a six card set of autographs.  For just $5 and three proof of purchases, you could get an autographed card.  That's a pretty good deal!

2000s: 2003 Focus #4 Moises Alou  Seeing this card reminds he how happy I am that the Cubs no longer wear the blue softball jersey at home.

2010s: 2016 Stadium Club #107 Jake Arrieta Jake was getting showered after winning his 20th game of the 2015 season.  Remember when Jake was good enough to win 20 games.  This year he won't even win half of 20.

    1. Mantilla never actually played for the Cubs. He was acquired before the 1967 season, injured in spring training, then released after he came off the DL.
