We're into 1964 now and start with the Topps flagship set. There are two notable Cubs cards. One is the Ken Hubb, In Memoriam card. Hubbs died in a plane crash in February, 1964, and Topps paid tribute to him with the card.
The second notable card contains a first - the first card with the position designation of "Head Coach." The Cubs were in the midst of the college of coaches and Topps gave Bob Kennedy a card that for all other teams would have been the manager card.
I'm curious why Ken Hubbs got an In Memoriam card while Jim Umbricht #389 only got a single line.
