Topps Heritage 2010 Is Live!!

This was very unexpected. I was at Walmart early this morning picking up milk for breakfast. I couldn't resist a quick peek at the card aisle. Buried among the Topps Series One and Heritage boxes was a lone blaster that I didn't recognize. I picked one up to read it and was shocked by what I found. It said Heritage 2010! The box was clearly different than the 2009 boxes. I grabbed it and headed to the checkout.

When you shop at 6:00 a.m. one thing you don't have to worry about is a line at the checkout. Today was no different. The blaster was quickly paid for and I was out the door. I zipped home and tossed the milk in the fridge and then went right at the blaster. I don't have much time to post before school so this will be quick.

I was lucky enought to score a total of 8 Cubs including the Sandberg MVP shortprint. I am a very happy boy.

On my way to school I went back to Walmart to see if they had any more. I couldn't find any, so I ask around. The assistant manager was able to help and said that more wouldn't be available until next February. The box I got was available today only, April 1. And then he said to enjoy today's special day and he muttered something under his breath that sounded like he was calling me a fool.

  1. I was never a fan of 61 Topps cards but I have to admit the glossy pics on the 2010 version make them look way better.

FYI.. that was a really good pack you got, Topps announced that the KoFu is a super SP left-hand logo varient card.

  4. I'll be posting my want list soon! Of course, I want the super secret short print of Piniella in a Reds uniform as manager instead!

  6. Any significance to the fact this article was posted on April 1st? It seems a little early (about a year early) for 2010 cards to come out. Never too early to play jokes, however.

  7. Nice try. This was joke. The Topps photographer hadn't even taken the photos yet for the 2010 set at this date. LOL.
    Good try though.
