It was back to the bikes on Sunday and we rode 48 miles from Jefferson City to Hermann. That was the longest ride of the trip, which is why the day off on Saturday was at just the right time. We rode straight through, with short stops for water and a snack at three trailheads. Normally we would have stopped for lunch along the way, but the only restaurant on our route wouldn’t open for another hour when we passed by.

Despite the longer distance and several towns to go through, Tebbetts, Mokane, Portland, Bluffton, and Rhineland before finally reaching Hermann, none produced a player that made it to the big leagues.
That first picture is really great. I love that kind of scenery.
