Five Random Cubs Cards

I've got 15,975 Cubs cards from 134 different brands listed on a spreadsheet. A random number generator picked five cards, one each from the past several decades.

1900s - 1970s: 1960 Topps #33 Earl Averill  I like the look of this card very much.  The home pinstripes, a view of the Wrigley bricks and grandstands -- this is good stuff!

1980s: 1987 Team-Issued Frank DiPino  Baseball Card day at Wrigley Field in 1987 was on Wednesday, July 29.  DiPino didn't pitch that day.  Rookie Greg Maddux started and gave up five runs in three innings and was tagged for the loss, dropping his record to 6-9 while ballooning his ERA to 4.72.

1990s: 1993 Stadium Club #21 Frank Castillo  The Cubs were one of the last holdouts keeping names off the backs of the home jersey.  I wish they had the will power (or clout) of the Yankees to keep the names off.

2000s: 2002 SP Legendary Cuts #3 Andre Dawson  The sepia tone does nothing for me.  Give me full color!!

2010s: 2016 Topps Now World Series #1 Cubs Team  Looking at a card like this one still gives me goosebumps.
