Varied Colors - 1955

Today we move ahead a year to 1955.

With this set, the colors of the name band was changed up.  The Cubs cards were made up of four different colors.

Black was the winner, with yellow following close by.  Blue and red, the Cubs' colors, showed up on just two cards.  If I was on the Topps design team I would have made all of the Cubs cards blue.

They'd all look like this.... a blue band and a red background.  That looks very Cub.
