Cubbie That Was A Cub

 Just a quick follow-up to yesterday's post.  In addition to four Cubbies in the 1995 set that made it to the majors, there was one Cubbie that already had time with the Cubs.

Steve Dillard was the hitting coach with the 1995 Cubbies.  Since retiring after the 1982 season, Dillard coached and managed in the minors with several organizations.  The 1995 season was his only year with the Cubs.

He spent more time as an active player with the Cubs, three seasons. 1979 - 1981.  

 

He doesn't look much different in the 1995 card as he did in the cards from nearly 15 years earlier.
