1977 Zipz Cubs

The 1977 Holiday Inn discs that I showed last week weren't the only discs from that season.  The producer of the discs, MSA, offered the promotion to several other businesses as well.  One to take up the offer was the ice cream chain, Zip'z.

Zip'z was a make your own sundae chain on the 1970s and 1980s.  They had stores on the east coast.  I also saw mention of locations in Chicagoland.  I have no memory of them, so they must not have had any in my neck of the woods. I can't find much about the chain, so I'm assuming that it went out of business years ago.

The Zipz MSA discs have the same 70-player checklist as Holiday Inn.  That means two Cubs.

Their is a design difference between Holiday Inn and Zipz.  The Holiday Inn logo was on their discs, but the Zipz discs have the four stars instead.

The Zipz logo and information is on the back.

  2. I could have used a Zip'z in my area yesterday. It's way too early in the year to be in the 90's.

P.S. Awesome discs. I'd love to see someone breakdown all of the different MSA discs from 1977.
