I've got 18,709 Cubs cards from 259 different brands listed on a spreadsheet. A random number generator picked five cards, one each from the past several decades.
1900s - 1970s: 1911 Turkey Red #33 Jake Pfeister Some leftover Turkey.... have you finished all of yours?1980s: 1988 Panini #254 Cubs Uniforms This is Panini's first baseball sticker set and it included uniform stickers for each team. The home uniform was still the pullover, which finally went away after the 1989 season. The softball road uniform went away at the same time.1990s: 1995 Fleer Ultra #136 Kevin Foster Foster was the first Cub to wear #31 after Greg Maddux left. He did not make us forget Greg Maddux.
2000s: 2005 Upper Deck Classic #8 Billy Williams Looks like a mid-60's Billy taking a swing at Shea Stadium.
2010s: 2012 Prizm Refractor #124 Ernie Banks The RNG ends pretty strong with Billy Williams followed by a shiny Ernie Banks at the Polo Grounds in New York.
Guess the RNG was in a nostalgic mood, with a 1911 card for the vintage slot and photos from the 50s and 60s for the two most recent slots.
